“PM Vishwakarma Yojana” was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 August 2023 and launched on 17 September 2023 to support traditional artisans and local artisans across the nation.  These individuals get financial assistance at low-interest rates without any collateral.  13,000 to 15,000 crores over five years for the scheme for local artisans.  About 30 lakh families of artisans and artisans are expected to benefit from the programme.

Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana

Vishwakarma Yojana Eligibility

•  Any self-employed artisan or craftsman works with hands and tools in the above family-based traditional businesses in the unorganized sector.
•  Recipient must be 18 to register.
•  The recipient must be in a related business and not have received any other government loans.
•  One family member—husband, wife and unmarried children—gets benefits.
